Solar Hitech Solutions is a leading Solar Projects firm specializing in the residential, commercial, and industrial sectors across India. We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Planning Engineer to join our team in Mumbai.
The Planning Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning and execution of all projects in the company. This is an office-based role, and the Planning Engineer will collaborate closely with on-site project teams, as well as internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocations, for all solar projects in the company's portfolio.
2. Progress Tracking: Monitor project progress against established milestones and key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure timely completion and identify any potential delays or bottlenecks.
3. Resource Management: Coordinate with project teams to ensure the availability and allocation of necessary resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel, to support project schedules and objectives.
4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or quality, and develop mitigation plans to minimize their impact.
5. Stakeholder Communication: Regularly communicate project status updates, including key milestones, progress, and any deviations from the plan, to internal and external stakeholders. May involve site visits from time to time to interact with client side project stakeholders.
6. Documentation: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including project schedules, progress reports, change orders, and other relevant records.
7. Quality Assurance: Work closely with project teams to ensure adherence to project specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
8. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize project planning and execution processes, and contribute to the development and implementation of best practices and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Additional certifications in project management or planning will be an advantage.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in project planning and coordination, MEP,preferably in the renewable energy or construction industry.
3. Technical Skills: Excel skills mandatory. Preferable but not mandatory experience in project management tools and software such as Asana, Zoho Projects,Microsoft Project or Primavera. Strong knowledge of project planning methodologies and techniques and of the Solar PV/Solar Thermal project lifecycle will be a bonus
4. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
5. Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to assess project risks, identify potential issues, and propose effective solutions.
6. Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
7. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate project documentation and adherence to project requirements.
8. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrate flexibility, and contribute to a positive team environment.
9. Adaptability: Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and timelines, and effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.
